Ken Carson
Florida State League


Ken has been a senior consultant for the Toronto Blue Jays since 2007. From 1987-2006, he served as the club's Director of Florida Operations and general manager of Toronto's Florida State League affiliate, the Dunedin Blue Jays. He was Toronto's Trainer and Traveling Secretary from 1977-86. In 1980, he was the American League trainer for the MLB All-Star Game.

Prior to working in baseball, Ken was the trainer for the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins from 1967-76, serving as an NHL All-Star Game trainer in his final year with the Penguins. From 1956-66, Ken was a trainer for clubs in the Ontario Hockey and American Hockey Leagues.

Ken, who is widowed, has seven children, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is engaged to be married to Lillian Simmons in August.

Ken serves on several boards, including the Finance, Code Enforcement and Chamber of Commerce boards for the city of Dunedin, among others.

He served on the Minor League Baseball Board of Trustees as the Florida State League representative from its inception in 1992 until 2015.
