Format
Round 1 Semifinal Playoff Series
Series 1: Winner advances to Championship Series, Best-of-3
Teams: East Division winner vs. West Division second-place team
Locations:
- Game 1: Home of the West Division second-place team
- Games 2-3: Home of the East Division winner
Series 2: Winner advances to Championship Series, Best-of-3
Teams: West Division winner vs. East Division second-place team
Locations:
- Game 1: Home of the East Division second-place team
- Games 2-3: Home of the West Division winner
Round 2 League Championship Series: Winner is Appalachian League Champion, Best-of-3
Teams: East Division Champion vs. West Division Champion
Locations:
In even-numbered years:
- Game 1: Home of the easternmost club
- Games 2-3: Home of the westernmost club
- Game 1: Home of the westernmost club
- Games 2-3: Home of the easternmost club
Qualifying
The two teams with the best win-loss percentage in both the East and West Divisions, at the conclusion of the 68-game regular season, will qualify for the playoffs.
In Round 1 of the playoffs, each division winner will face the second-place finisher of the other division.
In the event of a tie for a playoff spot, the winner will be the team that has the better record in head-to-head competition between the two tied clubs.
Additional Rules and Regulations
Round 1 of the playoffs will start the day following the conclusion of the regular season.
