Charleston hits four home runs in 10-2 win over Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Charleston RiverDogs (56-44) defeated the Hagerstown Suns (62-40) 10-2 on Tuesday at Municipal Stadium to split the series.
 
Kane Sweeney had three hits and five RBIs for Charleston.
 
Winning pitcher, Daris Vargas (7-5), held Hagerstown to three hits through six scoreless innings.
 
In the first inning, Cesar Diaz singled and Hoy Jun Park and Chris Gittens walked to load the bases for Sweeney. With no outs, Sweeney hit a grand slam to center field to give Charleston an early lead. 
 
Sweeney hit another home run with one out in the third inning to put the RiverDogs ahead by five runs.
 
In the fourth inning, Austin Afenir scored on a throwing error and Diaz scored on a sacrifice fly by Jun Park.
 
Stretching Charleston's lead to ten runs in the seventh inning, Jun Park hit a solo home run and Jhalan Jackson hit a two-run home run.
 
Adderling Ruiz hit a two-run home run to left field in the bottom of the seventh for Hagerstown's only runs.
 
Hagerstown will travel to Hickory for a four game series starting Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
