New team name to be revealed November 15

The New Orleans Zephyrs will reveal their new team name during a ceremony at the ballpark on Tuesday, November 15.

The Zephyrs will provide an online stream for fans to watch the unveiling via Facebook Live beginning at 5:30 p.m.

"We are very excited to see this process come to fruition in just a short time," said Zephyrs General Manager and Senior Vice President Cookie Rojas. "This journey has been very exciting for all of us in the organization, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to give the fans a team that they can truly relate to and call their own."

Entering their 25th season in 2017, the franchise will retire the Zephyrs name which had carried over with the team from Denver in 1993.
