Brett Bigler went 4-for-4 and Brent Fisher pitched 4 1/3 innings of perfect relief as Idaho Falls defeated Orem, 6-2, on Friday in the opener of their Pioneer League playoff series.
Bigler delivered an RBI single during a five-run third inning as the Chukars erased an early 2-0 deficit. He also singled in the first and sixth and doubled in the fourth.
Fisher (1-0) struck out eight and did not walk a batter after starter Blake Wood yielded two runs -- one earned -- on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.
Jase Turner hit a two-run homer and Joseph Dickerson also drove in a pair or runs for Idaho Falls, which will try to complete a sweep of the best-of-3 series on Saturday at 9:05 p.m. ET in Orem.
Luis Rivera's RBI single in the second was one of four hits for the Owlz.
Orem starter Sean O'Sullivan (0-1) surrendered six runs -- five earned -- on nine hits in 4 2/3 frames. He struck out three and walked two.
