Daniel Perales drove in three runs as the Missoula Osprey pounded the Billings Mustangs, 10-2, on Saturday to complete a two-game sweep of their Pioneer League playoff series.
Perales, who hit a two-run homer in Friday's series-opening 6-4 victory, delivered a two-run single in the first inning. He followed Shea McFeely's two-run double in the fourth with an RBI single.
"We came into the game relaxed with a lot of confidence," said Perales, a 21-year-old left fielder. "We wanted to keep the momentum from Game 1 and get to them early."
John Hester went 3-for-4 with an RBI one night after belting a game-winning grand slam for the Osprey, who will face Idaho Falls or Orem in the Championship Series.
McFeely, Perales, Sean Smith and Matthew Oxendine each collected two hits and scored twice for Missoula.
"It was a huge team effort," Perales said. "If one guy didn't do it, the guy behind him picked him up."
Hector Ambriz (1-0) picked up the win in relief after allowing a run on two hits with five strikeouts over four innings. Osprey starter Jordan Norberto gave up a run on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts in four innings. He left with an 8-0 lead.
Drew Stubbs and Juan Francisco homered for Billings, which got outhit, 14-5.
Mustangs starter Anthony Gressick (0-1) surrendered four runs on three hits while recording one out in the first. Misael DeJesus didn't fare much better, yielding four runs on six hits over 3 1/3 frames.
