Bats Knock Off Lookouts 8-5

Sarasota, FL - The Louisville Bats defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts 8-5 on Tuesday in an intrasquad game at the Reds minor league complex. The Bats are now 6-5-1 on the exhibition season.

Jeff Bannon led the Bats offense, going 2-for-3 with a grand slam. Jesse Gutierrez was 2-for-3 with a double, home run and three RBI. Ryan Hanigan and Aaron Herr each contributed two hits in the victory.

Brian Shackelford pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing one run on one hit, while Ricky Stone pitched a scoreless inning of relief for Louisville.

The Bats will take on the Indianapolis Indians Wednesday in Sarasota beginning at 1:00pm.
