Colorado Springs, CO -- Triple-A Baseball announced today that Albuquerque Isotopes broadcaster Robert Portnoy will be joined by long-time Syracuse Chiefs broadcaster, Bob McElligott to call the action for the 20th annual Triple-A All-Star Game scheduled for July 11th at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Coverage of this year's contest will be broadcast live on the Westwood One Radio Network with the pre-game show starting at 7:00 pm EDT and first pitch slated for 7:35 pm EDT.

Portnoy is in his second season calling Isotopes games and his eighth season as a professional baseball broadcaster. Prior to becoming the voice of the 'Topes, he spent one season with the International League's Indianapolis Indians. His jump to the Triple-A level was preceded by two seasons with the Double-A Huntsville Stars (Southern League), one season with the Single-A Kingston Indians (Carolina League), and two seasons with the Single-A San Jose Giants (California League). In 2004, Portnoy was named the Southern League Broadcaster of the Year. Away from the diamond, the Stanford graduate covers the New Mexico High School Football Game of the Week during the fall season, and has done basketball play-by-play for the Huntsville Flight (NBDL), the University of Alabama - Huntsville, Marlan College, and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

McElligott is in his eighth season with the Syracuse Chiefs. Before his arrival in Syracuse, he spent six seasons in the Carolina League (Single-A) working with Kinston, Wilmington, Prince William and Salem. Bob is also the play-by-play voice of the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch. Pulling double-duty for these two teams has him on the air for over 200 game broadcasts per year. He has provided play-by-play on ESPN 360 for Syracuse football and basketball games while filling-in in a number of games for the Columbus Blue Jackets (National Hockey League). Bob also handles play-by-play for local high school and college events for Time Warner's all sports channel and provides morning sports updates for WSEN-FM, WOLF-FM and WFBL-AM.
