The 20-year-old left-hander hurled five one-hit innings as the visiting Suns blanked the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, 8-0, at Pringles Park. Kershaw (2-3), who was sent back to Jacksonville earlier this month after a brief stint with the Dodgers, struck out three and walked two to lower his ERA to 1.91. Los Angeles' first-round pick (sixth overall) in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft has won consecutive starts for the Suns, yielding only three hits over 12 scoreless frames during that stretch. After beginning the season in Jacksonville, Kershaw went 0-2 with a 4.42 ERA in eight starts for Los Angeles from May 25 to July 1 before his demotion. In his first outing after his return, he allowed three runs -- two earned -- on four hits over six innings in Jacksonville's 4-3, 15-inning loss to Mobile on July 7. Scott Elbert followed Kershaw with three innings of one-hit ball Thursday, and Eduardo Sierra worked around a hit in the ninth as the Suns (12-15) ended a two-game skid. Ivan DeJesus and Lucas May each had two RBIs and Juan Gonzalez belted a solo homer for Jacksonville. West Tenn starter Doug Fister (5-11) surrendered three runs -- one earned -- on nine hits and three walks with four strikeouts over six innings. Adam Moore went 2-for-3 for the Diamond Jaxx (9-18), who had a three-game winning streak snapped. Alan Friedman is a contributor to MLB.com.
