Audio: Andrus breaks the deadlock
Box score Complete playoff coverage Shop for Frisco RoughRiders gear The Frisco RoughRiders hadn't scored in the first 11 innings of the Texas League Championship Series. But back-to-back productive frames helped even things up. Elvis Andrus and Jose Vallejo keyed a two-run fourth that carried the RoughRiders to a 4-3 win over the Arkansas Travelers on Wednesday at Dickey-Stephens Park, tying the best-of-5 series at 1-1. With the game deadlocked, 2-2, Andrus ripped an RBI triple to center field, then scored on Vallejo's single. The lead was big enough for Neftali Feliz (2-0), who allowed three runs -- two earned -- on five hits and two walks while fanning six and walking two over six innings. The 20-year-old right-hander has 17 strikeouts in two postseason starts. After Alfredo Gonzalez fanned four over two scoreless frames, Andrew Laughter hurled a perfect ninth to notch his first playoff save. Andrus, Vallejo and Emerson Frostad each had two hits and an RBI for Frisco, which hosts Game 3 on Friday. Arkansas' Hank Conger delivered a two-run single in the first, giving him a league-leading 10 RBIs. But Frisco tied it in the third as Frostad stroked a run-scoring single and Dustin Majewski came home on an error by first baseman Mark Trumbo. Travelers starter Robert Mosebach (0-1) was reached for four runs -- three earned -- on five hits in 3 1/3 innings, walking four and striking out one.
