LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. -- The Lake Elsinore Storm, Class A Advanced affiliate of the San Diego Padres, have released their full 2009 schedule. Opening Day for year 16 at The Diamond is slated for April 9, with first pitch at 7:09 p.m. against the Visalia Oaks.

The season's initial Man I Love Fireworks Friday will follow a day later, the first of 10 Fireworks Fridays in 2009. Showtime Saturdays will be back, featuring all of your favorite performers and exclusive Storm giveaways. Fat Tuesday belly-buster food specials, Family Wednesday kids discounts and Thirsty Thursday $1 beers and sodas will all be back next year, as well.

You can also celebrate traditional baseball holidays with the Storm, including Mother's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.

However, the most anticipated game on the 2009 schedule will not be a Storm home game, because on June 23 The Diamond in Lake Elsinore will host the California/Carolina League All-Star Game. It will be the 14th playing of the inter-league All-Star matchup and the third time the game will be played in Lake Elsinore.
