MOBILE, Ala. -- After a roughly seven-hour journey Monday, Hank Aaron's childhood home has arrived at its new home at Hank Aaron Stadium. The home, which was moved with the help of Hinkle Home Movers, will be placed on the stadium grounds in GasLight Park where it will receive a six-month restoration and be converted into a museum.

The Hank Aaron Museum and Learning Center will honor the Mobile native's legendary baseball career as well as his family and his post-career work with America's youth. The museum is scheduled to open at the start of baseball season in April. 2009 also will mark the BayBears year-long celebration of Mr. Aaron's 75th birthday.

A dedication of the grounds for the Museum and Learning Center has been scheduled for this Thursday, Oct. 30, at Hank Aaron Stadium. The ceremony is expected to begin at approximately 1 p.m.
