"Make It Home" During Team's First Homestand

Friday, April 17 - Norfolk Tides (Baltimore Orioles) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:00 p.m. -David Hernandez vs. Charlie Morton

  • Opening Night at Gwinnett Stadium - Pregame ceremonies begin at 5:45 p.m. and will include full squad introductions of both teams, Master of Ceremonies Pete Van Wieren, returning Richmond Braves players and a National Anthem performance by country star Bill Gentry.

  • Autographs - Select players will sign autographs for fans from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. on the concourse.

  • 2009 Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by Georgia Power - The first 10,000 fans will receive a free magnet schedule courtesy of Georgia Power.

  • 2009 Commemorative Program - The first of three commemorative programs this season will be available from stadium vendors and at the team store.
  • Saturday, April 18 - Norfolk Tides vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:00 p.m. - Chris Tillman vs. Todd Redmond

  • Charter Communications and Charter Business Remote Holder Giveaway - The first 5,000 fans will receive a free remote holder courtesy of Charter Communications and Charter Business.

  • Autographs - Select players will sign autographs for fans from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. on the concourse.
  • Sunday, April 19 - Norfolk Tides vs. Gwinnett Braves, 2:00 p.m. - David Pauley vs. Tommy Hanson

  • Gwinnett Daily Post Giveaway - Fans will receive the Gwinnett Daily Post's Gwinnett Braves Inaugural Season Preview section courtesy of the paper.

  • RaceTrac Race Around the Bases - Fans 12 and under are invited to run the bases following the game.

  • Chick-fil-A Family Toss - Families are invited to play catch in the outfield following the game.
  • Monday, April 20 - Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:00 p.m.

  • Niekro's Sports Bar - Fans can start the week off right with the "Knucksie," a pulled pork open-faced sandwich on a slice of cornbread, topped with cole slaw and barbecue sauce and scallions, that is featured at Niekro's Sports Bar.
  • Tuesday, April 21 - Durham Bulls vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:00 p.m.

  • 12Stone Tuesday Charity Nights - The Gwinnett Braves welcome Autism Speaks promote Autism Awareness Month and their fundraising walk on May 3 in Atlanta.
  • Wednesday, April 22 - Durham Bulls vs. Gwinnett Braves, 2:00 p.m.

  • Earth Day - The Gwinnett Braves celebrate Earth Day with a Stadium Fun Facts giveaway, printed on recycled paper, and encourage fans to bring in their old electronics to be recycled. Electronic recycling provided by Electronics Recycling Services, Inc.

  • Wendy's Wednesdays - Fans can redeem their ticket stub at participating Wendy's for a special offer.
  • Thursday, April 23 - Charlotte Knights (Chicago White Sox) vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:00 p.m.

  • College Night - Current college students will get $1 off a regular priced Berm ticket by presenting a valid college ID. Two lucky fans in attendance will have a chance to win $10,000 following the game, if they can hit a homerun in 3 swings. Contestants will be selected at random by their ticket stub.
  • Friday, April 24 - Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:00 p.m.

  • Take Your Best Shot - Throughout the season, the G-Braves encourage fans to capture their favorite Gwinnett Stadium memories on their camera and send them in to chopper@braves.com. All photos will be displayed on the team's Web site and each homestand, the team will select one photo to be featured on the video board. The winning homestand photo will be entered in the season-long contest for "best shot of '09!" The G-Braves will have the "best shot of '09" autographed and framed for the winning photographer.
  • Saturday, April 25 - Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Braves, 7:00 p.m.

  • United Way Literacy Day - The United Way will set up displays and interactive stations that promote literacy and fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used books to the game for donation to United Way.
  • Sunday, April 26 - Charlotte Knights vs. Gwinnett Braves, 2:00 p.m.

  • Autographs - Select players will sign autographs for fans from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m. on the concourse.

  • RaceTrac Race Around the Bases - Fans 12 and under are invited to run the bases following the game.

  • Chick-fil-A Family Toss - Families are invited to play catch in the outfield following the game.
