The recycling bins will be located throughout the main concourse and in all 30 of the club's luxury club level suites. The bins are painted in Bisons blue and will accept plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
"We're proud to expand our relationship with Try-It Distributors and Anheuser-Busch Recycling to include this community initiative," said Mike Buczkowski, vice president/general manager of the Bisons. "Try-It and Anheuser-Busch already help us provide high-quality products to our fans, and this program will help us continue to provide a beautiful, clean ballpark for our fans to enjoy."
"Try-It Distributing has had a long standing relationship with the Buffalo Bisons. The Buffalo Bisons are a well managed, successful organization and we, along with Anheuser-Busch, are proud to be partners with them in this recycling project as we strive to keep our city 'Green'," said Terry McCarville, Try-It's director of on premise sales.
The Bisons have already seen great support from fans using the recycling bins during the first month of the season. The use of the bins is just part of the team's "Keep Our Field Green" initiative. At home games over the Arbor Day Weekend (April 24-26), the Bisons partnered with Western New York AmeriCorps to hand out more than 10,000 tree seedlings. Later this year, the Bisons will announce a "Green Day" in cooperation with the City of Buffalo.
