Zephyrs mascot Boudreaux and color commentator Ron Swoboda visited the Book Blast at Esplanade Mall on Saturday, February 20.

Boudreaux greeted the kids in attendance, then joined them as Swoboda read from such children's favorites as Curious George, Olivia and SpongeBob.

The event was in support of the new Curious George DVD, released next month, and was part of the Book Blast's ongoing initiative for children to rediscover the magic of reading.

The Zephyrs are promoting a new reading club, where area students can complete a required amount of reading set out by the student's teacher or librarian and earn free tickets to the Z's game against Nashville on Sunday, April 25.

For more information, contact the Zephyrs at (504) 734-5155.
