Ryan Tucker allowed just one hit over three scoreless innings in the New Orleans Zephyrs' 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Bisons in Jupiter, Fla. on Tuesday.
Looking to bounce back from a season lost to multiple injuries, Tucker cruised through Buffalo's lineup, surrendering one hit and one walk while striking out two.
The Zephyrs grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning against Adam Pettyjohn, after Danny Richar singled with one out and scored on a double by Jai Miller.
That was all the offense New Orleans would muster on the afternoon, however, as the Z's stranded 10 baserunners. Buffalo's bullpen combined to throw six shutout innings.
The Bisons tied the game in the sixth and took the lead in the seventh against Todd Doolittle, who gave up three hits, threw two wild pitches and hit a batter in two innings.
Former Zephyer Jesus Feliciano drove in a run for Buffalo, as did Josh Thole and D.J. Wabick.
The Zephyrs continue their spring slate on Wednesday when they face the Memphis Redbirds.
