Lindsey had three doubles and belted his second home run in the sixth inning off reliever Taylor Tankersley, when the Isotopes scored four times to take a 7-5 lead.
The 33-year-old Hattiesburg native, who led the Zephyrs with 19 home runs and 83 RBI last season, is now batting a league-leading .563.
The Zephyrs jumped out to a 5-3 lead on the strength of back-to-back triples by Vinny Rottino and Ryan Klosterman in the fourth, and a deep home run to right by right fielder Scott Cousins in the fifth.
Rottino later added another triple, cashing in a Brad Davis double, to become the first Zephyr since Tripp Cromer to hit two triples in one game. Cromer accomplished the feat on May 5, 2003 at Colorado Springs.
Tankersley relieved starting pitcher Brian Lawrence after five innings, but could not retire any of the four batters he faced as Albuquerque hit for the cycle against him: Lindsey led off with a home run, followed by a double from Jay Gibbons, a triple by Prentice Redman and a single by Russ Mitchell, putting the Isotopes ahead.
Kasey Olenberger did not fare much better over the final two frames, surrendering six runs on nine hits. The Isotopes scored 41 games over the four-game series, and have now beaten the Zephyrs 16 of the last 18 meetings in Albuquerque over the last three seasons.
Game Notes: Donnie Murphy's seven-game hit streak to start the season was snapped when he flied out as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning ... The Zephyrs did not hit more than one triple in a game all of last year.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs travel to Round Rock, where they will participate in their third Opening Day of the season as the opponents for the Express home opener. LH Hunter Jones (0-0, 0.00) will be opposed by RH Shane Loux (0-0, 7.20). RADIO: 106.1 FM WMTI
