Berkman played in his final rehab game and is expected to be activated by the Houston Astros on Tuesday.
Express starter Josh Banks earned the win, working into the seventh inning and allowing one run on seven hits. Danny Richar provided the only offense for the Zephyrs, with a sixth inning solo home run.
Brian Lawrence made an emergency start for the Zephyrs after scheduled starter Ryan Tucker became ill before the game. Lawrence yielded five runs and nine hits in three innings, taking the loss.
Round Rock outfielder Colin DeLome hit a pair of two-run homers and Matt Kata added three hits as the Express outhit New Orleans 16-7.
Game Notes: Jason Lane and Bryan Petersen were the only Zephyrs to start each of the first 10 games of the season, but neither were in the lineup on Sunday. Petersen appeared as a pinch hitter and singled.
