The Rock Cats set to host Mother's Day Celebration at New Britain Stadium on Sunday, May 9, 2010

Treat your mom like an All-Star by helping the Rock Cats take a swing against breast cancer! The New Britain Rock Cats are teaming up with the Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to host a Mother's Day Celebration at New Britain Stadium on Sunday, May 9, 2010!

Fans can enjoy an all you can eat pre-game brunch beginning at 11:30am in the Rock Cats Stadium Club and Webster Terrace Picnic Area. Each family will receive a flower arrangement from Gordon Bonetti Florist for your mom, a "Happy Mother's Day" message on the video board, and a photo session with Rocky! Included with each buffet ticket is a Reserved seat to the Rock Cats game that day against the Portland Sea Dogs (AA affiliate-Boston Red Sox) with a first pitch scheduled for 1:35pm.

Adult tickets are $45 each. Children 5-12yrs. old are $25 each and children 4 & under FREE. $20 per adult ticket will benefit Komen Connecticut! Wear pink to show your support for breast cancer awareness! The Rocks Cats are excited to partner with such a great organization to benefit a worthy cause that unfortunately affects so many mothers. In joining together for this fun-filled charity event, it gives us all hope that one day the world will be cancer free!

There will be additional ways to support Komen Connecticut the day of the game! Single pink-stemmed roses will be available to fans for a $5 donation to Komen Connecticut and will be proudly donated by the Connecticut Florist Association. A prize drawing will be

conducted at the brunch as well with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Komen

Connecticut. So come out and join the Rock Cats and Komen Connecticut for this exiting event on Mother's Day to help us hit breast cancer out of the ballpark! Awareness and community support are the first steps in putting an end to this terrible disease!
