Members of the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce will take the field at Joe Bruno Stadium for the Chamber Baseball Challenge. Team First Niagara plays Team Family Danz at 6 pm on Tuesday June 15. The event was originally scheduled for June 9, but was postponed due to poor weather.
In the annual game, each player will be a ValleyCat for the day. Players get the full professional treatment: they will dress in the locker rooms, take batting practice on the field and then square off in a seven-inning game at "The Joe."
The Chamber also will be hosting its "All-Star Appreciation Night", sponsored exclusively by CSArch and taking place at the Picnic Pavilion. It will provide members with networking, BBQ, door prizes and fun, starting at 5:30.
Admission will be free, and the ValleyCats staff will also be running a full-scale production of the game, with giveaways, videos and more. So come out to see these amateurs play and check out what the 'Cats have in store for the coming season!
