The Angels' first base prospect lofted three home runs and four RBIs to put his team over the top at Starter Bros. Stadium in High Desert.
The right-handed slugger out of Cal State-Sacramento jacked a two-run shot in the third inning off Mavericks starter Andrew Carraway (4-3). He blasted a solo homer off Carraway the next inning and rounded out his night with a solo dinger off reliever Blake Nation in the eighth.
Jacobo (.308, seven home runs, 48 RBIs) entered the game with only four roundtrippers in 56 games for Rancho Cucamonga.
He was a 10th-round Draft pick by the Angels in 2008. He made his professional debut the same year and ended the season with Cedar Rapids in the Class A Midwest League, where he batted .320 with three homers and 24 RBIs in 34 games.
Jacobo spent the entire 2009 season with the Kernels, hitting .257 with 10 longballs and 72 RBIs in 118 games. He was promoted to Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga in the California League for the start of 2010.
Teammate Alexi Amarista smacked his fourth longball, a three-run shot, and a sacrifice fly.
Dennis Raben delivered a grand slam, his fourth homer, for High Desert.
