Beltran To Make Rehab Appearance With St. Lucie Mets

Port St. Lucie, Fla. - The New York and St. Lucie Mets announced today that outfielder Carlos Beltran is scheduled to make a rehab appearance with the St. Lucie Mets Thursday, June 24th at Digital Domain Park in Port St. Lucie, FL. Beltran has been playing in extended spring training games, however he has now been cleared by team doctors to begin an official rehab stint. Beltran is recovering from a bone bruise of his right knee which has sidelined him since late June of last season.
Beltran, a five-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove Award winner, is scheduled to appear in the St. Lucie Mets Thursday night game at Digital Domain Park against the Palm Beach Cardinals. Game time is 7:00PM and the gates open at 6:00PM. The first 500 fans to the ballpark will receive a deck of St. Lucie Mets playing cards compliments of Harrah's and ESPN 760 and fans can enjoy $1 Hot Dogs, $1 Pepsi and $1 Budweiser throughout the game.
