Chief and IronPigs postponed

The Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, have had their game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs postponed due to rain on Friday, July 9. The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader at Alliance Bank Stadium on Saturday August 28 beginning at 5pm.
Fans who purchased tickets for tonight's game may redeem their ticket stubs at the Chiefs ticket office for a ticket to any regular season home game this year. Mars Hill Network Faith and Family Night will be rescheduled for a later date and fans holding those tickets will be able to use their tickets for the rescheduled Faith and Family Night. Season ticket holders should refer to the back of their tickets for the season ticket rainout policy.
On Saturday, the Chiefs will start a two game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, RI. The scheduled starters for that game are LHP Matt Chico (3-4, 4.42) for the Chiefs and LHP Fabio Castro (3-6, 6.75) for the PawSox. That game is scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m. On Sunday, RHP Jeff Mandel (4-3, 5.08) and RPH Josh Beckett (NR) is the scheduled pitching matchup for a 1:05 p.m. start.
