Clinton, IA - The Clinton LumberKings, in conjunction with Miller Lite have announced the first-annual "LumberStock", a new summer festival that the club hopes will catch on in the tradition of great Clinton summer events. "LumberStock" takes place at Alliant Energy Field on Saturday, July 31 and admission is free of charge.
Performing at "LumberStock" will be local country band Levi Fraley. The Camanche-based group will take the stage starting at 6:00 PM.
In addition to the live music, there will also be events for kids and adults alike.
The Children's Discovery Center of Clinton has partnered with the LumberKings to provide interactive games and activities for youngsters of all ages from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Custom Cornholes of Clinton will be running a cornhole tournament beginning at noon, with cash prizes available for the top three teams. Teams can enter the tournament for a fee of $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
There will be plenty of food and drinks available throughout the park, including sweet corn and roast beef sandwiches.
"Our hope is that LumberStock becomes an annual event that the people of Clinton look forward to each summer," said Ted Tornow, General Manager of the LumberKings. "We plan to have plenty of things going on for families and people of all ages".
