CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston RiverDogs fans pride themselves in cheering for future New York Yankees, but for many, it is also a chance to see future stars from other teams like the Rome Braves, which presents a natural and localized appeal. So, if you are a die-hard RiverDogs fan, or if you bleed the scarlet and navy of Braves nation, the Braves Rome to Charleston Ticket Package is for you!!
As part of this ground-breaking plan, the RiverDogs will provide two (2) tickets to the nearly-sold out 7th Annual Hot Stove Banquet on Jan. 28 that features recently-retired Braves' skipper Bobby Cox, the fourth-winningest manager in history, in his only Charleston appearance. In addition, the RiverDogs will throw in two (2) lower level box seat tickets to either the Sat., April 16 game or Sat., June 4 contest against the Rome Braves, Atlanta's Class-A affiliate and a RiverDogs rival in the South Atlantic League.
"We believe that this package will be a terrific holiday present for any baseball fan, particularly Braves fans," said General Manager Dave Echols. "Having Bobby Cox come to Charleston is going to be terrific and when we add a game to potentially see the future Braves, we feel that this is a great package."
The total cost of this package is $162, but the RiverDogs are offering it for a limited time only for $150.
This year's Hot Stove Banquet, presented by Tom McQueeney State Farm Insurance, includes a plated dinner, open bar, live auction, autographed table gift and features keynote speaker Bobby Cox. The event, which is a joint venture between the RiverDogs and The Citadel, is set for Fri., Jan. 28 at The Citadel's Holliday Alumni Center. Proceeds benefit MUSC's Storm Eye Institute and Bulldogs' baseball program.
