Salem, VA (November 30, 2010) - The Salem Red Sox will play host to the United States Women's National Softball Team on Wednesday June 29, 2011 at LewisGale Field. Salem is one of only three cities in the country that will host exhibitions for the National Team before the squad competes in international events. The roster of the 2011 Women's National Team will be announced in June following the Selection Camp ending June 17.

The National Team will play and exhibition doubleheader against the U.S.A. Junior Women's National Team starting at 6PM (4PM gates). Each game will last 7-innings and game two of the double header will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. A post-game autograph session will be held after the conclusion of game two at adjacent Salem Football Stadium for all fans with a ticket stub.
