Pirates prospect Lorenzo suspended
Dominican Summer League pitcher violated drug program

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League pitcher Arquimedes Lorenzo, a member of the organization's Dominican Summer League team, has received a 50-game suspension for his violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension of Lorenzo is effective at the start of next season.
