(Reading, PA) - The Reading Phillies, the Double-A affiliate of the 2010 Eastern League champion Philadelphia Phillies, are pleased to announce that Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co., a Philadelphia-based sports apparel company, has secured naming rights to the brand-new R-Phils team store. The brand-new store, the first climate controlled walk-in store in R-Phils history, will be named the Mitchell & Ness R-Phils Team Store, and will be located by the brand-new entry plaza at FirstEnergy Stadium.

"The Reading Phillies brand represents fun and tradition," said R-Phils GM Scott Hunsicker. "This marries perfectly with the Mitchell & Ness brand. Mike Schmidt played his first professional game here at America's Classic Ballpark. The Philadelphia Phillies and the Reading Phillies have the longest affiliation in all of Minor League Baseball. When we embarked on the team store concept, we immediately identified Mitchell & Ness as the perfect naming rights partner. We are so excited to bring the quality and nostalgia of Mitchell & Ness to our historic ballpark, and our loyal fans."

The Mitchell and Ness R-Phils Team Store will be adult and kid-friendly, and will have some great features for both to enjoy. There will be merchandise for all ages, and kids will have their very own entrance into the store, thanks to the addition of a separate kid-size glass door. The Mitchell & Ness R-Phils Team Store will also be accessible from outside the VIST Financial Plaza gates, inside the gates, and from the main concourse. Fans can shop during the season, as well as in the offseason, as the Mitchell & Ness R-Phils Team Store will be open all-year-round.

As part of the partnership with Mitchell & Ness, the new store will feature Mitchell & Ness' authentic sports apparel, including throwback jerseys, pennants, etc. Current R-Phils merchandise standards, including t-shirts, caps, collectibles, and more, will remain available at the Mitchell & Ness R-Phils Team Store.

"Fans can do all their shopping for R-Phils gear, Philadelphia Phillies gear, and much more, right here at FirstEnergy Stadium," said R-Phils Director of Merchandise Kevin Sklenarik "With the addition of Mitchell & Ness, fans can expect to get great throwback gear, as well as nostalgic Mitchell & Ness pennants, and they can do that right here in Reading for the first-time ever!"

Mitchell & Ness was founded in 1904, and is the oldest sporting goods company in Philadelphia. By license agreements with Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League, and the Collegiate Licensing Company, they are makers of authentic vintage sports jerseys, jackets, hats, and wool-felt historic pennants.
