The Stars are looking for their very own, fan-created theme song. It can be an original or an updated play on an old favorite. It can be long or it can be short. It can be fast or slow, we don't care. The one thing it has to be? Catchy!
"We know north Alabama is full of creative, talented people. We're looking to embrace that and bring it to the ballpark in a new and exciting way," said Buck Rogers, Stars GM.
Starting Tuesday, February 8, fans can submit their entry to Joe Davis Stadium, attn: Theme Song. Please include your name, age, contact information and the lyrics. You don't have to make a cool music video to go along with it (but you can if you want), we're just looking for a recorded version of the song. It can be a cappella or with an instrumental flavor, solo or a group effort. Just please keep it clean!
The winner will be announced Friday, April 7. During the opening homestand, the winning artist(s) will be invited out to the stadium to perform their song in front of the crowd and also throw out the first pitch.
The Stars offices are located at 3125 Leeman Ferry Road, Huntsville, AL 35801 and are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
