Baltimore infield prospect Ryan Adams may not be seeing much playing time this spring, but he is making the most of his opportunities with the team.

Adams, selected by Baltimore in the second round of the 2006 Draft, hit his second spring homer in as many days and plated four runs Thursday as the Orioles beat the Pirates, 11-8, in Bradenton, Fla. He is batting .500 in eight Grapefruit League at-bats.

The second baseman grounded out to first base in the third inning against Paul Maholm before slugging Joel Hanrahan's 1-1 offering the other way for a two-run homer in the fifth.

With nobody out, Adams struck out on three pitches with the bases loaded against Evan Meek in the sixth, but he added a two-out two-RBI single in the seventh.

The 23-year-old, one of 16 non-roster players invited to Spring Training, also homered in Wednesday's 11-2 victory over Minnesota.

The infielder batted .298 with 15 homers and 68 RBIs with Double-A Bowie in 2010. He set career highs in almost every offensive category and was rewarded with an Eastern League Postseason All-Star selection.

First base prospect Brandon Snyder went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI and outfielder Matt Angle added a hit and a stolen base off the bench for the Orioles.

Pittsburgh's Gorkys Hernandez was 1-for-2 and scored once, and fellow outfield prospect Corey Wimberly plated a run off the bench.
