Dunedin, Fl - With two strikes, two outs, and his team trailing by three runs, Brad Glenn wasn't going down without a fight. He blasted a Justin Friend fastball deep to right center field, and ensured that his team would at the very least get on the scoreboard. The line drive opposite field home run was all the D-Jays could muster on this night, the second of the season, but it was a loud reminder that although the team is off to an 0-2 start, there's still plenty of baseball left to be played.

For the second consecutive game the Clearwater Threshers managed to keep the Dunedin bats quiet, as they have now totaled just two runs and nine hits in two games. Tonight it was Jonathan Pettibone that set the pace, as the Threshers' starter allowed just two hits in five innings while striking out six.

Chad Jenkins looked very sharp for the D-Jays making his Florida State League debut, his only major blemish coming when Leandro Castro hit a line shot over the fence in left center field. Castro has now collected four hits and three RBIs in the first two games of the season, while scoring four runs of his own. Jenkins finished the day allowing three runs on six hits in seven solid innings of work.

The D-Jays will look to pick up their first victory of the season tomorrow night, as the four game series heads back to Dunedin for a 6pm start. Chad Beck will take the ball for the Blue Jays, while Trevor May will throw for the Threshers.
