Jorge Vazquez, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

Jorge Vazquez had two different two-homer games this week, knocking in five on April 11. Although he didn't go yard in his next game, he was 4-for-5 with two more RBIs. After socking two round-trippers Friday, he added a solo shot Sunday. The hot start to the season comes after the Mexican-born Vazquez was a Caribbean Series All-Star, and, ultimately, the circuit's MVP.

Pacific Coast League
Wily Mo Pena, Reno

Former big leaguer Wily Mo Pena showed off the power stroke at the start of the Triple-A season, and his six homers lead the PCL. He went yard in his first game of the season, settled for a single in the next one, then homered in consecutive games. He homered in three straight from April 14-16, and he was 3-for-5 with two runs scored on April 17. Pena has also shown some discipline, walking five times thus far. The veteran signed with the D-backs on Dec. 1, and he's making Arizona -- or at least Reno -- fans glad he did.

Eastern League
Cody Overbeck, Reading

A Phillies prospect who won a Player of the Week award in the Florida State League during his All-Star season last year, Cody Overbeck is back at it. He went 0-for-4 on Opening Day against Portland but then beat up on the Sea Dogs for five hits and two homers over the rest of the four-game set. Then, he went 5-for-5 with a double and a homer in April 11's game against New Hampshire. Most recently, he terrorized Akron in Sunday's doubleheader, totaling two homers, five RBIs and a stolen base on that day.

Southern League
Paul Goldschmidt, Mobile

For a few days, it seemed like Paul Goldschmidt might have decided on a true all-or-nothing approach: his first four hits, coming over the course of just 12 at-bats in four games, were all home runs. He showed some willingness to deviate from the apparent policy by ripping an RBI base hit and beating out an infield single in his fifth game. He capped off a productive first full week with another homer -- his sixth of the year -- in a five-RBI game on Sunday. All this and he walked more times than he struck out. Goldschmidt was the Cal League MVP last season, and if the Southern League can contain him for long enough, he may make a run at that honor at the Double-A level this year.

Texas League
Jaff Decker, San Antonio

The Padres' top pick in 2008, Jaff Decker was a crucial cog in a machine -- and the Missions' offense has most definitely been a machine -- that set a Texas League record by scoring more than 20 runs in two different games in a five-day period. The way Decker's playing now, he reaches base half the time he comes to the plate, and pitchers ought to count their lucky stars when they walk him or allow a single; 11 of his 15 hits so far have been for extra bases. He's also notched a pair of thefts, recording a steal in each of two games against Tulsa.

California League
Eric Campbell, Bakersfield

Playing his first year in the Reds system, farmhand Eric Campbell has given his new organization plenty to be happy about. He shrugged off an 0-for-3 Opening Day to break out with four hits, four runs scored and two RBIs the next day. It was the start of a beautiful thing, as he knocked in a run in each of his next two games and socked three doubles over the three games after that. He was 4-for-4 with a homer, another double, six RBIs, three runs scored and a walk on Saturday.

Carolina League
Mike Olt, Myrtle Beach

A 2010 first-rounder, Rangers prospect Mike Olt kicked off his first full season with a 3-for-3 day, and he homered the next day. After scoring four runs and homering twice over the first four games of the year, Olt ignored an 0-for-4 outing by doubling in the following three tilts, plating four runs, scoring five times and ripping another homer. The 22-year-old third baseman entered the season with just 69 pro games under his belt, but Class A Advanced ball clearly doesn't scare him.

Florida State League
Kyle Jensen, Jupiter

Simon Cowell, be warned: there's a new hit-maker in town. Jensen has already notched multiple-hit games, and he's only gone home hungry once. (In Saturday's 0-for-4 game, he still managed a walk.) Jensen homered on Opening Day and has spread out six more extra-base hits over six other games. The Marlins' 12th-round pick in 2009, Jensen was a New York-Penn League All-Star that season and hit .272 with 18 homers in the Sally League last year.

Midwest League
Jonathan Garcia, Great Lakes

A Dodgers prospect playing his first full season, Jonathan Garcia shook off a year-opening 0-for-7 funk by homering in his third game of the year and then going yard twice in his fourth. He's shown no signs of cooling down since. In fact, he enters the new week with a home run in three consecutive games. Garcia missed the cycle by a triple in the tilt that began that streak, and it was already his second three-RBI game of the year.

South Atlantic League
Chris Wallace, Lexington

Chris Wallace's three-homer, nine-RBI game on Sunday was his best performance of the year so far, sure -- it was likely the best performance of the year so far -- but he's been hitting consistently well since the start of the season. He homered during a two-hit Opening Day, and he's yet to go hitless. Wallace, a 16th-round pick of the Astros last year, was an Appalachian League All-Star in his debut season, and he's started his first full season off in the same style.
