Aybar, 27, was placed on the 15-day Disabled List with a strained left oblique on April 10. In three games for the Angels in 2011, he hit .417 with three doubles, two RBI and one stolen base. Aybar registered a .253 batting average with 18 doubles, four triples, five home runs, 29 RBI and 22 stolen bases in 138 games for the Angels in 2010. The Bani, Dominican Republic native was originally signed by the Angels as a free agent in 2002.
