The Senators twice trailed tonight, 2-0 after the top of the 2nd, and 4-3 after the top of the 3rd, but both times they scored to retake the lead in the game. Bowie did not lead for an entire inning the entire series. The two teams have played 12 games this year and Harrisburg has won 10 of the 12.
Trailing 2-0 into the bottom of the 2nd, Steve Lombardozzi tied the game with a bases loaded two-run single. After Bowie retook the lead at 4-3, Bill Rhinehart hit a three-run home run, his ninth on the season, to give the Sens a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the 3rd. Tyler Moore homered leading off the 5th for the final tally of the night for Harrisburg.
Tanner Roark started and was roughed up in the first three innings before settling down and retiring the final ten batters he faced for his second win on the season. Matt Chico pitched an inning and gave up a run, making the game 7-5. Carlos Martinez gave up a lead-off triple in the 8th, but retired the final six batters for his second save on the season.
Lombardozzi and Moore both had two hits in the game.
The Senators turn their attention to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats who come to Metro Bank Park riding a seven-game winning streak. The two teams play game one of a three-game series on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. RH Brad Peacock takes the mound for the Sens against RH Henderson Alvarez for New Hampshire.
