(Woodbridge, VA) Sunday's game at Pfitzner Stadium between Potomac and Salem has been rained out. The consistent downpours over the past several days have left standing water in the outfield, and for the players safety, the game has been called. It will not be made up because of Carolina League rules.
Ticket holders for Sunday's game can exchange them for any game this year except Fourth of July and the playoffs.
On the last day of the first half, the P-Nats were rained out for the 10th time this year. Potomac finishes the first half at 29-40, while the Sox post a 31-38 mark.
After dropping the first three of their 14-game homestand, the Nationals won seven of ten to close the half.
The Nationals are off for three days starting on Monday for the All-Star break. Manager Matt LeCroy and second baseman Jeff Kobernus are flying to Modesto, CA for the Carolina League v. California League All-Star Game. LeCroy is managing the Carolina League team because of Potomac's championship last year.
The P-Nats return to the Pfitz on June 29th for a three-game series with the Winston-Salem Dash. Check back with potomacnationals.com for the latest promotions and giveaways! To buy tickets, call 703-590-2311 or order online.
