Teheran pitched five strong innings and plated a run for his International League-leading 10th win and manager Dave Brundage's 1,000th career victory in the Braves' 5-2 victory over the visiting Louisville Bats.

Gwinnett also hosted its one millionth visitor at Coolray Field. Many showed up to see former big league manager Bobby Cox, who was in attendance to be honored, in addition to another Teheran start.

Brundage managed five teams over nine seasons in the Mariners organization before joining the Braves prior to the 2007 season. The skipper is in his fifth season managing Atlanta's Triple-A affiliate -- Richmond through 2008 and Gwinnett over the past three seasons. He is now 1,000-880.

Teheran (10-1) allowed an unearned run on three hits over five innings. MLB.com's No. 7 prospect struck out six and walked three and has allowed one run or fewer in four straight outings.

The Bats' Dave Sappelt led off the game with a double, advanced to third on Teheran's errant pickoff attempt and scored on Yonder Alonso's single into left field. Alonso, MLB.com's No. 40 prospect, is batting .300 this season.

Teheran also contributed in the batter's box. The 20-year-old Colombian doubled in the third -- it was his club's first extra-base hit in 35 2/3 frames -- and singled in a run in the fourth for his first Triple-A RBI.

Stefan Gartrell was responsible for the Braves' other runs. Gartrell hit a third-inning, three-run homer and a fifth-inning solo shot -- both against Bats' starter Scott Carroll (6-5), who exited after five frames.

Gartrell, who was stuck in an 0-for-11 slump, has 20 longballs -- the highest single-season total in Gwinnett's three-year history.
