Scott Moore helped Iowa snap its four-game losing streak, driving in go-ahead runs twice, that included a bases-clearing double as part of a five-run sixth inning, to give the I-Cubs a 9-4 win over Fresno Wednesday night at Principal Park.

Iowa entered the bottom of the sixth tied with Fresno 3-3 and worked the bases loaded off Grizzlies' reliever Justin Dowdy. Steve Clevenger led off the frame with a walk and moved to third on a single from Marwin Gonzalez. With one out, Alberto Cabrera, in the game as a reliever, bunted over Gonzalez to second and Brett Jackson followed with a walk to jam the bases full. Moore took two pitches before blasting a line drive to right field that scored all three runners and put Iowa up 6-3. After two more walks to reload the bases, Brad Snyder followed with a two-out double that scored two more runs.

One inning earlier, Moore hit his first double of the night with the I-Cubs down 2-1. Gonzalez hit a lead off double and Brett Jackson singled before Moore lined a sharp ball deep into right-center field to score both Gonzalez and Jackson that gave Iowa a brief 3-2 lead.

The Grizzlies would tie the game in the next half inning at 3-3 on an infield single from Tyler Graham that scored Bill Hall from third. Fresno had two on and no outs after the tying run scored, but Cabrera was able to retire the next three straight to get out of the inning.

Iowa took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning. Bryan LaHair walked to begin the inning and moved to third one batter later on a double from Snyder. LaHair would come home to score on a sacrifice fly from Clevenger.

The I-Cubs added an insurance run in the bottom of eighth on three straight singles as Snyder's third one-bagger knocked in Lou Montanez.

Moore and Snyder did the most damage at the plate for Iowa. Moore finished his night with five RBI, going 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored. Snyder collected two doubles and three RBI on a 3-for-5 effort.

Cabrera (2-3, 6.00) picked up the win in relief. He pitched two innings, gave up one run on four hits, walked one and struck out five.

Chris Rusin started the game for Iowa and gave up two runs on eight hits over five innings. Rusin walked one and struck out four.

Dowdy (2-5, 6.60) took the loss for Fresno, surrendering five runs on two hits in only two-thirds innings pitched while walking three and striking out one.

Iowa and Fresno will play game two of this series Thursday night at Principal Park. LH Matt Yourkin (8-5, 4.86) will start for the Grizzlies and oppose Cubs' RH Nick Struck (1-3, 4.50). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
