On the day the team was announced, Buckley was hitting .293 with 14 home runs and 41 RBI. The Cincinnati Reds selected Buckley in the Sixth Round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft out of St. Petersburg (Fla.) Junior College.
Other Mustangs receiving Honorable Mention on the All-Star Team were: pitcher James Allen, catcher Yovan Gonzalez, outfielder Kurtis Muller, catcher/first baseman Nick O'Shea, pitcher Radhames Quezada and manager Pat Kelly.
The Pioneer League Ralph Nelles Award (MVP) went to Taylor Lindsey of the Orem Owlz and the Logan Hurlbert Award (Pitcher of the Year) went to Blair Walters of the Great Falls Voyagers.
