Strasburg previously started three games for Hagerstown, one for Potomac, and most recently for Syracuse on Saturday. Strasburg started his professional career with the Senators last year making five starts overall with three at Metro Bank Park. Strasburg is recovering from Tommy John Surgery, which took place on September 3, 2010. He electrified the baseball world when he struck out 14 Pittsburgh Pirates in his major league debut on June 8, 2010 at Nationals Park.
Washington Nationals catcher, Ivan Rodriguez, is also scheduled to make a MLB rehab start with the Harrisburg Senators on Tuesday night. The major league veteran is recovering from tightness of the right oblique and has been on the disabled list since the beginning of July.
