HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hagerstown Suns are pleased to announce the 2012 schedule with Opening Day at Municipal Stadium set for Thursday, April 5.
A seven-game homestand starts the season for the Suns with the first four games against the West Virginia Power (Pittsburgh) and the next three against the Lexington Legends (Houston).
The Suns will celebrate two holidays at home in 2012 as they play games at Municipal Stadium on both Independence Day and Labor Day. They return home on the Fourth of July to begin a five-game set against the Legends, and they have a four-game Labor Day Weekend series against the Asheville Tourists (Colorado) to mark the end to the 2012 season.
In addition, the Delmarva Shorebirds (Baltimore) come to Hagerstown three times to continue their inter-state rivalry with the Suns. The Shorebirds will be in town May 17-20, May 31-June 3 and August 23-26.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
