TROY, NY- In 2011 the Tri-City ValleyCats teamed up with Finnigan's Sports Cards to aid in the fight against Alopecia Ariata. During the season, the 'Cats sold baseball cards donated by Finnigan's Sports Cards and part of the proceeds were donated to the National Alopecia Ariata Foundation.
The donation was made through "Autographs 4 Alopecia," a campaign created by two brothers from Pennsylvania, Blake and Gavin. Blake is ten years old and suffers from the disease. They also received a gift pack comprised of t-shirts, bobbleheads and more.
