The rankings come from a poll of all New York-Penn League managers.
Third Baseman Maikel Franco ranked 4th in the league. Despite spending three weeks in August at Class A Lakewood, Franco still led the Crosscutters in RBI's (38), Doubles (17), and On Base Percentage (.367) while hitting .287.
Franco shared the Cutters MVP Award with fellow Top 20 Prospect Aaron Atherr who was ranked 20th.
Atherr led the Cutters in home runs (5) and was 2nd to Franco in RBI's (31). He also stole 25 bases which ranked 2nd on the squad and 4th in the league while hitting .260. Atherr was ranked 15th in the NYPL last year by Baseball America.
Former Cutters named to classification all-star teams by Baseball America this off-season include: Triple-A; Relief Pitcher Michael Schwimer (2008), Double-A; Catcher Travis d'Arnaud (2008), High-A; Starting Pitcher Julio Rodriguez(2010).
The Crosscutters finished the 2011 season in 2nd place in the NYPL's Pinckney Division with a record of 43-33, 2.5 games behind the division-winning Auburn Doubledays.
