Rockies Name Wheeler Tulsa MVP
Future Drillers Also Honored

Record-setting outfielder Tim Wheeler was named the 2011 MVP of the Tulsa Drillers by the Colorado Rockies.

The Colorado Rockies recently named record-setting outfielder Tim Wheeler as the 2011 MVP for the Tulsa Drillers. The Drillers are the Double A affiliate for the Rockies.

Wheeler established a Drillers franchise record with 33 home runs this past season. The total also led all Texas League hitters as well as all hitters in Double A.

The Tulsa MVP Award was one of several awards that were announced by the Rockies. Several other winners will likely play in Tulsa for the Drillers in the future.
