The logo was developed by a professional sports branding company, after weeks of interviews with fans, residents, and business owners, as well as on-site observations and research in the Pensacola area.
Blue Wahoos President Bruce Baldwin said the event Friday promised to be an exciting one.
"The Blue Wahoos organization isn't going to be your typical ball club, and our logo isn't going to be typical either. We hope everyone will come out and celebrate this unveiling with us, and also stock up on team t-shirts, hats, and other merchandise for Holiday gifts, or better yet, to just be a part of the new 'Wahoo Cool' fashion that is sure to be all the rage here on the Gulf Coast," said Baldwin.
