Glynn named new Wings skipper

The Minnesota Twins have named Gene Glynn manager of the Rochester Red Wings. The 55-year-old Glynn was a professional scout for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011.

On Dec. 13, 2011, Glynn and Twins farm Director Jim Rantz met with Rochester media in Frontier Field's Silver Stadium Club suite.

About the Red Wings:
The Rochester Red Wings are the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. Rochester, NY has had a pro baseball team since 1885. The Red Wings are operated by Rochester Community Baseball, Inc. and have been community-owned since 1957.

The Red Wings and Frontier Field have been selected to host the New York Yankees' Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre club for 37 games in 2012, while the Scranton ballpark undergoes major renovations. Wings fans will benefit from eight additional Red Wings vs. Yankees games here, plus 29 more games featuring top Yankees prospects against other International League clubs.
