OMAHA, Neb. - As temperatures climb above 60 degrees toward a possible all-time record Thursday afternoon, Storm Chasers ticket office representatives are preparing to offer an all-time record discount.

If temperatures hit the 60-degree mark - according to Weather.com's listing for the 68046 zip code - box seat tickets for 2012 will be discounted a full 60 percent off the regular price. A total of 60 tickets will be available in section 108, on a first-come first-served basis.

Storm Chasers Assistant General Manager Rob Crain was a featured guest on The Weather Channel's "Your Weather Today" program at 7:50 a.m. central Thursday morning, announcing the deal live on-air to hosts Stephanie Abrams and Mike Bettes, as well as a nationwide audience. He will repeat the message at 8:50 a.m. on the same program.

This is the fourth time the Storm Chasers have been prominently featured on The Weather Channel's top-rated program. President/General Manager Martie Cordaro was on the air November 19, 2010 right after the new team moniker was coined, and Bettes visited Werner Park twice - once for a live, all-morning broadcast on April 15, 2011, and a second time to throw out the first pitch on May 31.

Details:

- Tickets must be purchased over the phone (402) 738-5100 or in-person at the Werner Park ticket office, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 6, while supplies last.

- Offer is limited to full-season tickets in section 108, located above the first base dugout.

- Purchase is based on a two-year agreement, with the second season at full price.

- Offer is for new ticket contracts only.

- 60 percent discount is off the base ticket rate; the 50 cent Sarpy County ticket surcharge is not discounted.

- Total per-seat price for 2012 will be $260.40, or just $3.62 per Storm Chasers home game. Regular price is $597.00 per seat, or $8.29 per game. Box seats purchased on a single-game basis are $9.00 Sunday-Thursday and $10.00 Friday-Saturday.
