"This partnership with RTV6 and HTSN will enable us to extend the fun and excitement of Indians Baseball at Victory Field to a larger television audience than we have ever had before", said Indians Vice President & General Manager Cal Burleson. "We are excited about the potential this exposure will give us to attract more fans to the Best Minor League Ballpark in America, where they can truly experience Baseball Up Close."
The news comes after the Indians and RTV6 announced a partnership that makes RTV6 and HTSN the home of the Tribe for the 2012 season. The new partnership will offer baseball fans an opportunity to not only view three 1:15 p.m. Sunday contests on RTV6, but also to see all 72 Indianapolis Indians home games on HTSN, which is available via cable and over-the-air reaching more than one million homes across central Indiana.
"RTV6 and HTSN are proud to be teaming up with such a family-friendly Hoosier tradition like the Indianapolis Indians," says Larry Blackerby, Vice-President and General Manager of RTV6. "We feel the live simulcast of three Sunday afternoon Indians games on RTV6 gives us a tremendous opportunity to showcase the wonderful live sports we regularly offer on HTSN. It's a home-run for sports fans across central Indiana."
