A right-handed pitcher, Nicasio will begin the season in the Rockies' starting rotation. He made his Major League debut in 2011 and was 4-4 in 13 starts before a season-ending neck injury on August 5th. Nicasio pitched for Tri-City in 2008 and led the team in strikeouts with 61.
Brothers and Reynolds will be the Rockies' two left-handed options out of the bullpen.
