ROUND ROCK, Texas –Round Rock Express Baseball and Sport Clips Haircuts announced Wednesday that Topher Rogers, 29, of Cedar Park has won the Team Member for a Day contest. Rogers will be an official member of the Express during the Father’s Day game against the Oklahoma City RedHawks.
Rogers will receive an official Express uniform, autographed by players, will get to dress with the Express, partake in team workouts and will be in the dugout for that night’s game against the Houston Astros’ top affiliate. Prior to the game, Rogers will represent the Express by presenting the game’s lineup card in the traditional pre-game meeting of the managers at home plate and will throw out the first pitch.
“We could not be more excited that Topher has won the contest and will be a part of the team for a day,” said Express Executive Vice President and General Manager George King. “In tandem with Sports Clips Haircuts, we know this will be an amazing Father’s Day gift for our winner.”
Clients over the age of 18 were eligible to sign up at any Austin-area Sports Clips Haircuts to become a member of the Express for the day during a month-long contest. The winner was randomly selected from hundreds of entrants.
