SALT LAKE CITY - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that catcher Bobby Wilson will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake in tonight's home game against the Fresno Grizzlies at 7:05 p.m. Wilson is expected to appear in two games for the Bees.
Wilson, 29, was placed on the 7-day Disabled List after suffering a concussion from a foul tip to his catcher's mask on June 4. In 32 games for the Angels this season, he owns a .171 batting average with one RBI. Wilson has played in 176 games over four seasons for Salt Lake, hitting .291 with 52 doubles and 125 RBI. His last appearance with the Bees was in 2010.
